Through ravenous flames and strangling smoke, the Armor of God strengthens those fearless fire fighters who set out to save all that is precious. For those who confront the inferno, this impeccable challenge coin serves as a manifestation of their resolve, fortitude, and faith.

An extraordinary grade of humanity exists in fire fighters, who choose to risk their lives daily in order to save others. They are born of courage, practiced with skill, and brimming with selflessness. But a warrior of flames knows he cannot defeat the blistering plague all on his own. Through faith – the Armor of God carried into the scorching tongues of flame that lash out to burn and the pillows of smoke that push down to suffocate – he can prevail.

  • Size: 1¾ inch / 44mm round
  • Material: Antiqued Bronze

The obverse of the coin references Ephesians 6:11-13, the affecting bible verse that relays the power of the Armor of God. The verse reads: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might, put on the whole Armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

The fireman’s prayer also fortifies faith and courage, empowering the fire fighter to forge through hellfire to save and protect. It gives him strength to fulfill his calling while putting his life at stake.

Minted in the U.S. from special deep-relief coining dies, struck from solid bronze, and hand-finished with an antique patina for exceptional quality and detail, this challenge coin is dedicated to dauntless fire fighters. The obverse depicts a warrior donning traditional armor of the time – each item a metaphor for an element of faith needed to fight the world’s evil. The words “PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD” encircle the intricate design. The reverse displays the fireman’s prayer – a call for heavenly guidance and protection for rescued and rescuer.
